Two of these photographs were sent by Joan Evans, a pupil during the school's evacuation to Beaumaris during the Second World War.

Far right: Grace Johnson lodged with Miss Thomas in Beaumaris during the war. She is pictured here in 1959 with her husband and Miss Thomas on a visit. (Thanks to Frank Irwin for this photograph).
Below: Pupils Joan Evans & Kath Brown with two ladies who did not have evacuees billetted with them. They took the girls for walks and, more importantly, tea and biscuits!

During the Tricentenary weekend, a group of Beaumaris girls were reunited (picture below) - 62 years after the school moved back to Liverpool. Most of them have stayed in touch ever since, such was the bond forged between them at the Blue Coat School.
All three of these girls
(Joan Evans, Barbara Owens and Grace Johnson) are in the big photo below, taken over 60 years later at the Tricentenary weekend!
